Rafael A. Diaz-Oquendo Diaz-Oquendo, Regional Manager for Latin America and Richard Michael Davies, our Offshore Marine Specialist recently joined forces in South America to visit 3 of our Members. Excitingly all 3 Members had signed up to our free Risk Assessment programme which was conducted during their visit. 🦺 These assessments are of huge benefit to our Membership. The proactive approach can help to identify and prevent future incidents. We use this knowledge alongside analysing Members’ claims records so that assessments are tailored to a vessel’s incident profile. Learning from the past can change the future and detecting issues early on can save costly claims going forward. 📧 To learn more about our Risk Assessment Programme please contact our Safety & Risk Management department here: shipvisits.ukclub@thomasmiller.com 👉 Or visit our website: https://lnkd.in/eaEpvE9M #LossPrevention #RiskAssessment #MarineInsurance #CrewSafety

Our Director of Risk Assessment, Singapore, Ansuman Ghosh, and our Senior Risk Assessor, Akshat Arora (AFNI) Arora, recently spoke to David Stevenson for the The Motorship’s regional report on Singapore. They shared insight into how the country’s decarbonisation efforts are influencing approaches to risk management. As Singapore positions itself as an innovation hub for clean technology and alternative fuels, Ansuman and Akshat highlighted the local impetus around advanced training for crews on handling new fuels and equipment. The discussion also explored the unique challenges that one of the world’s busiest ports in the world face, how smarter operations are being implemented to alleviate congestion and the need to proactively mitigate associated risks such as cyber-crime.
