Supporting the UK’s six largest industrial clusters in their mission to decarbonise at scale

About us

The Industrial Decarbonisation Challenge is kickstarting the decarbonisation of industry in the UK, ensuring that we are on track to meet our net zero targets. Together, the IDC and UK industrial partners are laying the foundations for developing at least one low-carbon industrial cluster by 2030 and the world’s first net-zero industrial cluster by 2040. The challenge programme is driving significant inward investment and will act as a catalyst for the creation of high skilled jobs, cementing the UK as a global leader in decarbonisation.
