We hosted this year's #DwellingandUrbanism2025 Urban Lab walking tour for Manchester School of Architecture (MSA) MA Architecture and Urbanism students in New Islington 🏙️ Our Development Manager, Joe Woolley, took students on a tour of the area providing insights into the history of Urban Splash and our work in New Islington - past, present and future. Thank you to all students who attended. We hope this tour provided practical insights into housing design and governance in suburban neighbourhoods on urban edges. About us
Urban Splash is a purpose-led regeneration and property company that wants to leave a positive mark on the world by using great design and transformative ideas to breathe new life into undervalued buildings and places. We were established in 1993 by the forward thinking, pioneering duo of Tom Bloxham MBE and Jonathan Falkingham MBE. With no business plan and big ideas to change disused and unloved buildings and sites around the country, Tom and Jonathan were told "it will never work"... That comment drove them to succeed and now, over 30 years later, we've got a great business and have notched up over 480 awards for our work in regeneration, architecture, design, place-making, marketing and business; we've built more than 6000 homes and 2m sq ft of workspaces - and a lot of great communities too. Watch this space as we continue to tell our story, inspired by our borrowed mantra of the citizens of ancient Athens - to leave each city “not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was left to us”.

Campbell Park has been shortlisted for Future Place in The Developer and Festival of Place Pineapple Awards 2025! 🍍 Working in partnership with Glenbrook and architects Howells and Planit, we have prepared an outline masterplan for the new community on the north side of Campbell Park in #MiltonKeynes. Our plans take the garden city principles that inspired Milton Keynes to the next level, with a rich mix of modern homes and workspaces all designed around a diverse landscape that prioritises people and not vehicles. The Future Place award seeks to recognise a masterplan, planning application, action plan or design proposal for a place which is set to make a positive impact on places and people. Congratulations to all other shortlisted projects - we’re looking forward to the results following the Festival of Pineapples in February 🤞 Find out more about Campbell Park: https://lnkd.in/eHN5x4Dp.
