The VARS ANPR system doesn't just prevent drive-offs. The Laurels Service Station use ANPR to provide a personal service for regular customers who may need a little help from staff when filling up. With around 100 customers now using the service, ANPR means that staff are made aware as soon as they enter the forecourt and are on hand to help straight away. About us
VARS Technology offers a bespoke ANPR solution to give advanced warning when a vehicle previously blacklisted for fuel theft or other offences enters a customer site. VARS also collects funds for previous drive offs or no means of payment on behalf of forecourt customers. ANPR can be used to manage and monetise car parking, including paid parking, overstay charges and EV bay management. VARS Face, which uses facial recognition technology to warn staff when persons of interest enter a site, is now available.

Shoplifting offences in England and Wales have reached the highest level on record, with a 29% year-on-year increase. Retailers reported 469,788 incidents in total.
