About us
Our purpose is to help the world’s energy transition through wind power. As the world decarbonises, demand for renewable energy, especially wind power, is soaring. In response, the scale and sophistication of renewable energy projects is increasing. Yet, the wind services market is highly fragmented, with many experienced but small thinly capitalised players needing support to grow and respond to expected demand. Venterra is building a best-in-class services company to meet this demand. We are acquiring and integrating select companies in the sector, adding our management expertise and capital to fuel expansion. Asset-light and technology driven, with a truly collaborative culture, Venterra is helping its Group companies scale rapidly.

How impressive is this from our colleagues on Team Osbit 👇 and the Dutch masters 🇳🇱
It's amazing to share that our recently delivered cable repair carousel and loading tower system for N-Sea Group is now operational, successfully carrying out its first cable repair projects in the North Sea! This is the first project Osbit delivered from Rotterdam, where our Dutch office is based. It is an important milestone for us, and one made possible with support from the local Dutch supply chain. We are proud to have delivered this tailored system in such a short time (six months, to be exact!), and Osbit Netherlands continues to expand significantly. Ed Daniels, our new Chief Executive Officer, has hit the ground running in his first few weeks at Venterra Group! Last week, Ed met with people from across the board at three of our group companies in the build phase, Balltec, Osbit and FoundOcean. 🔧 At Balltec Engineered Solutions, the team displayed how Balltec’s LiftLoc lifting tools are changing the game in the build of offshore wind farms. 🔧 At Osbit, Ed caught up with award-winning engineer, David MacGregor, to find out how his team came up with innovative solutions to new challenges in the offshore wind market. 🔧 At FoundOcean, Ed met with highly skilled lab technicians to understand how their expertise are crucial in laying the foundations for the future of offshore wind. We are always proud to showcase the wonderful people from across the group that make up the broad range of skills and specialties we have here at Venterra. Having spent over 35 years working in the energy sector, Ed brings a wealth of experience to the team and is eager to impart his knowledge across the group as he visits all our Venterra companies in the coming weeks. Another great Floating Offshore Wind event has wrapped up in the silver city of Aberdeen! Kudos to RenewableUK UK for orchestrating such a fantastic industry gathering and the Venterra Group on the ground for making it such a success. The insights shared from Operations and Maintenance activities highlighting how challenges differ significantly from fixed-bottom solutions to Katherine Yorks's perspectives on the supply chain opportunities in the Celtic Sea. It was industry opportunity in abundance. Dan McGrail from RenewableUK UK rightly pointed out the positive alignment between the Scottish and UK governments on policy, creating a clear pathway for developers, crucial for growth. While we face considerable challenges, such as consenting timelines, grid connections, and as ever the urgent need for port upgrades, the momentum is undeniable. It's really encouraging to hear about Scotland's role in delivering the UK's Net Zero vision. Positive insights from the joint Government-industry Floating Offshore Wind Taskforce in their report "Floating Wind: Anchoring the Next Generation Offshore" reaffirming the UK's engineering excellence and exceptional wind resources, positioning us at the forefront of the £1 trillion global floating wind energy industry by 2050. Some of the highlights for us, included hearing from: Rich Morris Copenhagen Offshore Partners Martha Lovatt. Fred. Olsen Seawind Julian Das Ørsted Katharine York Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult Jane Cooper RenewableUK UK Crown Estate Scotland Michael Shanks Energy Minister Department for Energy Security and Net Zero Ralph T.
