Christie's honoured Vivienne through an exclusive exhibition and auction, titled ‘Vivienne Westwood: The Personal Collection.’ Iconic looks from Vivienne’s personal wardrobe were displayed, alongside The Big Picture – Vivienne’s Playing Cards, a limited-edition set of prints Vivienne designed as a strategy to save the world. The live and online auctions — in which all lots were successfully sold — have raised vital funds for charitable causes Vivienne supported throughout her life: Amnesty International, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Greenpeace and The Vivienne Foundation. Vivienne Westwood: The Personal Collection Sales realised a combined total of £754,488 with hammer proceeds benefitting The Vivienne Foundation, Amnesty International, Médecins Sans Frontières and Greenpeace. A free public exhibition of Vivienne Westwood: The Personal Collection took place at Christie’s headquarters on King Street, London from 14 to 24 June, attracting more than 20,000 visitors to the galleries! #VivienneWestwood #Christies

Nestled in the heart of Mayfair’s Hanover Square, the new Mandarin Oriental sits just across from 44 Conduit Street, the Mayfair home of the Vivienne Westwood boutique. Through a shared love of the historic area, one of London’s finest and oldest squares, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group collaborated with the house of Vivienne Westwood to design a handcrafted fan to illustrate this elegant square and create a signature emblem to inform the individuality of the new Mandarin Oriental hotel. Following the narrative behind our Spring-Summer 2024 collection, we have partnered with local artists across Paris, Milan and the UK – to host a series of private poetry evenings at our boutiques. Guest poets performed excerpts from Shakespeare's poems, or original pieces echoing the themes from Sonnet 18 – evoking an everlasting beauty; a memory that lives on and inspires the future. Guests celebrate the creation of a handcrafted fan, designed by the house of Vivienne Westwood and commissioned by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Mayfair, to illustrate the historic Hanover Square. The design sees two ­silhouettes meeting, framed on a hand drawing of the square, turned on its head — inspired by traditional paper cut-outs and Vivienne Westwood campaigns.  A second handcrafted fan will be auctioned by The Auction Collective, to raise money for War Child, the only specialist charity for children affected by conflict. The sale of the fan will support War Child’s Children’s Emergency Fund which supports children in crisis when disaster strikes, such as the outbreak of war or the rapid deterioration of a conflict situation.
