  • Our vision is to deliver places to live and space to grow for our current and future residents. We want our customers to have a positive experience regardless of who they are, where they live or how and when they choose to interact with us. Our Chief Executive Tracy Allison is looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to join her forward-thinking executive team as Executive Director, Housing and Neighbourhoods to drive the transformation of customer service and housing options for our communities. In 2025 we will begin the first phase of reshaping our customer service offer to reflect the changing needs of our residents and to make the most of our recent investment in a new housing system and customer portal. We need someone with a track record of leading and delivering substantial change in how customer services are delivered. We are determined to maintain a diverse organisation, reflective of the communities we serve, and we welcome and encourage candidates from under-represented groups to consider applying for this opportunity. If you are passionate about the role a housing association can play in society and believe the values of an organisation are what makes it special and want to contribute to shaping the future of a leading local organisation, then visit the link below to find out more and apply. https://lnkd.in/eZZXRuQQ Application closing date: 12 noon, Tuesday 3 December 2024. #WestKent

  • West Kent and Sevenoaks District Council signed their three-year annual partnership agreement last week, which outlines how the two organisations will continue to work together to provide homes and neighbourhoods people are proud to live in. Cabinet members from Sevenoaks District Council and Board members from West Kent came together to celebrate how working together at a more strategic level had delivered for the district. Looking forward, the new three-year agreement will focus on: ➡️Working together to prevent homelessness, through providing support to sustain existing tenancies and by working to rehouse people quickly. ➡️Working in partnership to better match available homes to current residents when their needs change so they can move to a more suitable home. ➡️Work together in delivering a place-based approach as West Kent invests in their current homes to regenerate neighbourhoods and develop opportunities in partnership to support local communities. • Today is Anti-Slavery Day, a reminder slavery can happen anywhere. At West Kent, we are fully committed to preventing modern slavery across our organisation and supply chains. As part of our commitment to the Modern Slavery Act (2015), we regularly review and update our Modern Slavery Statement, which outlines the steps we take to prevent, identify, and address any signs of modern slavery. To help raise awareness and ensure our team is vigilant, we’ve developed learning resources for our employees. By equipping our employees with the tools to recognise and report signs of modern slavery, we’re taking active steps to protect our communities and ensure a safe and ethical environment for all. • 🌟 Celebrating National Customer Service Week 🌟 At West Kent, this week is all about reflecting on the remarkable moments our team has shared with residents. It’s a wonderful reminder of the impact great customer service can have, and how we strive to make every interaction count. 💙 Our customer service team is always ready to go the extra mile, offering invaluable support to residents who need guidance or have questions. Here are just a few examples of how they've gone above and beyond: 📞 Helping a resident in their 90s navigate our self-service portal, ensuring they felt confident and supported every step of the way. 🌻 Listening to residents’ wishes and transforming the front garden of a building, creating a beautiful space where new friendships have blossomed and flowers planted. 💡 Assisting a resident being chased for incorrect utility bills by providing the necessary information to dispute the charges. 📝 Completing an online garage application for an elderly resident, ensuring they felt reassured and heard. This week, and every week, our team continues to make a difference in the lives of our residents.
