Oh! We exeperienced so much joy, inspiration and empowerment during our all female panel at eTail™ in London in June. We discussed everything to do with AI and personalisation, two hottest topics in retail right now. With so many incredible female experts out there, we need to see more of them in the spotlight sharing their expertise and perspective. Huge thank you Samantha Visick, Anna Fedele di Catrano and Anamika Datta for being a truly marvellous experts with vast experience and expertise. We could have talked for hours! We had an incredible time discussing the future of retail property with Hannah McNamara from P-THREE, Alice Rose McAnulty from Lone Design Club, Rachael Alexander from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and Caroline Main FRICS from MAPP. The relationship between landlords and tenants is certainly undergoing a huge change and becoming more collaborative. The importance of investment in public realm development and its impact on community, all resulting in longer dwell time, higher satisfaction and ultimately making this destination a preferred place to be. The key to becoming the preferred destination was also a great mix of services, shops and especially children offering. Whole families and groups of friends need something way different than an alone shopper or a couple of friends catching up. Sustainability was a really big part of the conversation with all stakeholders being responsible for creating properties that save the planet, even if customers are actually not that interested in it. But let's be honest. The level of responsibility put on property developers, managers and on retail brands is huge. Without government support, better business rates and legislation supporting sustainable businesses there is only as much as we can all do. The effort is collaborative with all stakeholders working to the same goals. This is when we will actually create shopping destinations that are community-building, sustainable and profitable to all involved. #retail #property #design #community #shopping #future #event #women #femaleleaders
