This week, our Head of Sustainability, Sonal Jain, took the stage at the EG ESG Summit with an important talk on how power purchase agreements (PPAs) can help decarbonise the property industry. While common in other industries, PPAs – agreements that let businesses source electricity directly from renewable producers – are still new to real estate. That changed last year when Workspace became the first London office provider to adopt a clean energy PPA, sourcing two-thirds of our electricity from a solar plant in Devon ☀️. It’s a win-win 🌱 because it helps reduce both our and our SME customers’ carbon footprints. And, on the panel, Marco from Formation Architects, a Workspace customer, shared how the deal has supported their B Corp journey 🌍. We’re thrilled to share that we’re finalists in the UKCXA 24’ Awards for the ‘Customers at the Heart of Everything’ category! 📣   Our CX initiative helped our center managers refocus on building genuine emotional connections with customers. We collaborated with teams across the business to co-create and roll out these changes, leading to some fantastic results. By trimming down tasks that didn’t contribute to these connections, we saved one and a half hours each day—time we’re now spending directly with our customers.   That’s a whopping 9,004 extra hours a year spent making meaningful connections!
