Leopards striding through panda habitat! 🐆 Here in the Qinling Mountains of Shaanxi, we’re helping to protect giant panda habitat, strengthen population monitoring and establish wildlife corridors. 🐼 That mean massive benefits, not just for pandas but all the other wildlife that share their home.

We interrupt your feed with an official invite to take a break with blossom 🌸 These tiny blooms can make a massive difference to your day. From boosting your mood to reducing stress, there’s no end to the benefits of nature, which is why we’re inviting you to step away from your screen and take a break with blossom this spring. It can be a five-minute breather or a longer break. You can invite colleagues, pets or go solo. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the countryside, a city or somewhere in between: you can find blossom anywhere. All you have to do is reap the benefits of nature and plan a Big Blooming Break that suits you. How to get involved: 🌸 Download your free guide to The Big Blooming Break: https://lnkd.in/eK43QCR7 🌸 Pop a note in your calendar to remind you to take your break.  🌸 Click ‘attend’ on this event and share it with any colleagues, friends or family who you think would benefit from a quick pause surrounded by blossom. 🌸 Enjoy your break and take notice of how blossom makes you feel. Share your experience with us using #BlossomWatch.    Why spend a moment with blossom?    After the dark days of winter, spring sprouts little moments of joy to lift our spirits. We’re encouraging you to get out and grab those moments when you can. When you live a busy life in a busy place, sometimes it’s hard to feel close to nature. So, make time for yourself and pencil in a moment to enjoy blossom this spring.

For the love of bamboo. 🎍🐼 Giant pandas have an almighty affinity with this plant. While humans may spend an hour or two eating a day, panda bears spend anywhere from 10-16 hours a day chowing down on the stuff. They even have a favourite type – one which has aged for 1-2 years as its more tender and nutritious!

There’s less than one week to go until WWF’s #EarthHour... 🌎 ⏳ This year, there are lots of ways you and your colleagues can get involved – during the working week leading up to Earth Hour or on the night itself. Nature also helps us feel good – just 20 minutes per day engaging with nature is enough to improve your mental health – so it can be a powerful ally in boosting employee wellbeing. 💪 Chat to colleagues, share this post with your network and show you care about nature. 💚

What do you owe to the 80s? For us, it's not perms or Duran Duran but the start of our involvement in giant panda conservation in China. 💚 🐼 In 1980, we broke new ground as the first international conservation organisation invited by the Chinese Government to carry out fieldwork in China. 🐼 With WWF’s support, this early research has given us incredible insights into these iconic animals—how they live, their ecology, and their needs. This knowledge continues to guide our conservation efforts today! Roll back in time and discover the full story of giant panda conservation. 👇 https://brnw.ch/21wRmk9

How are our UK supporters helping save China’s snow leopards? 🐆 With support from the UK, WWF-China has been working on snow leopard conservation for nearly 10 years.🐾 China is home to 60% of the world’s snow leopards, but their vast, high-altitude habitats make research challenging. Only 3% of global snow leopard habitats have been scientifically surveyed, making it difficult to establish targeted conservation measures. By backing these efforts, UK supporters are helping gather crucial data to safeguard these endangered big cats. 🏔️

🚨 Our latest statement on the collision between an oil tanker and cargo vessel off the East Yorkshire coast. 🚨 Our thoughts are with everyone immediately involved in the accident and the emergency response operation. Along with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, we are deeply concerned about the potential impact that resulting pollution could have on internationally important seabird colonies such as, grey seals and the wealth of other marine life such as harbour porpoise, fish and minke whale that live beneath the waves. 🔗 Find out more https://lnkd.in/eVQtXezD
