Technical Project Director - Digital Experience Agency

My Client is an experience-led agency, partnering with ambitious brands to re-imagine the real world as a connected platform. You will be a pivotal part of a growing design team, working on exciting projects for some of the world’s biggest brands.

As Tech Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end technical solutions, implemented for studio projects. This will involve managing the technical aspects of a project from inception to delivery within both stringent and flexible timelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Technical Scoping
• Interpret design requirements into detailed engineering plans.
• Work with our creative technologists to research and document technical solutions.
• Optimise efficiency by productising or repurposing existing project builds, championing previous solutions.
• Client technical liaison
• Carry technical relationships with clients across their individual brands and projects.
• Identify engineering requirements from scope changes, without the need for 3rd party availability.
• Document build requirements and assumptions.
• Confident in replaying requirements to a clients legal and technical teams.

• Development team guidance
• Call out engineering timing or capability limitations.
• Be the escalation point for internal and external engineers.
• Plan and monitor development work according to project timelines.
• Prioritise different workstreams to meet business and client objectives.
• Keeping abreast of new technologies approaches or industry trends to continually improve best-practice and product qualify.

Skills and Experience

• Commercially minded with an understanding of costings, engineering time and how it applies to scoping.
• Familiarity of frameworks (TypeScript, React, NextJS etc.), restful API integrations, database requirements, and an understanding of AWS infrastructure environments.
• Interpret design requirements into a scope of work containing technical milestones/deliverables.
• Familiarity with data tools such as CRM, CDPs, Permissions Notice solutions and the infosec / security best practices that govern them.
