US-based tech startup RepAir Carbon Capture and the Dutch carbon storage developer Cquestra are collaborating on plans to establish Europe’s first onshore direct carbon capture and storage (DACS) facility, at a site southeast of Paris. "Our partnership with Rep-Air allows us to demonstrate Europe’s ability to mature onshore DACS projects. The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has recently unveiled plans to list three new carbon futures contracts. The stock market operator sees the country’s broader energy transition, under which it aims to reach net-zero emissions by 2050, as a major investment opportunity. “Australia has the potential to be one of the biggest producers of carbon credits in the world.
