Every visit feels more meaningful than the last. 💙 ✅ Helped paint and refurbish a new build, making sure the schools have a fresh, welcoming feel. ✅ Delivered books, tables, chairs (all from the October shipping container) and even brought sports equipment for the schools – seeing the kids’ excitement was priceless! 🏫⚽ ✅ The Gambian Schools Trust focuses on supporting schools in some of the most isolated areas – up to 6 hours inland – ensuring no child is left behind. A highlight for me was the fundraising for Conteh Kunda Lower Basic School in 2024. Thanks to your incredible support, we raised nearly £15k! 🙌 This funded: ✨ A brand new standalone early learning classroom ✨ Tiled floors in the main school ✨ Major roof repairs (the before-and-after pics are incredible!) ✨ General tidy-up and a fresh coat of paint And it didn’t stop there – thanks to Mercia Asset Management PLC, I was able to hand out laptops and mobiles to students and individuals. ⚙️ Mercia Debt has helped secure a £250,000 loan into Crucial Engineering Ltd to boost its growth. The Bradford company specialises in aluminium doors and security access systems and will use the funding to take on bigger projects, following its expansion into larger premises last year and a spate of new high-tier contract wins. Crucial provides facades, shutters, barriers, gates and turnstiles for commercial properties such as factories, fast food restaurants, car dealerships and educational buildings.
