🇺🇸 Biden-Harris administration partners with farmers to expand innovative domestic fertilizer production 🔍 At the annual Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Thomas Vilsack announced that USDA is partnering with American business owners to expand innovative domestic fertilizer production, creating jobs in rural communities and strengthening local economies. 💬 “The Biden-Harris Administration continues to make innovative investments that bolster rural communities and support farmers, ranchers and small business owners,” Secretary Vilsack said. “The investments announced today will increase domestic fertilizer production and strengthen our supply chain, while creating good-paying jobs to benefit all Americans.” Read the full story here 👇 https://lnkd.in/emjNdm3Q

🌿 Bion’s commercial nitrogen fertilizer now OMRI listed for organic use 🔍 Bion Environmental Technologies has announced its commercial 10-0-0 nitrogen fertilizer is now OMRI Listed for use in organic production. 🥕 The ‘pure’ nitrogen fertilizer produced by Bion’s patented Ammonia Recovery System (ARS) represents state-of-the-art nutrient control and recovery for livestock manure and other organic waste streams. The ARS captures nitrogen that was going to be lost to the environment and redirects it into a stable concentrated liquid nitrogen fertilizer that can be used in the production of certified organic fruits, vegetables, and grains. 🇩🇰 Some news from Denmark this morning... 🌿 Green ammonia plant inaugurated by Skovgaard Energy, Vestas, and Topsoe 🔍 The plant will demonstrate a dynamic approach, which entails that the plant will adapt to the inherent fluctuations in power output from the renewable power sources in integration with the plant’s electrolysis and ammonia synthesis loop. This will ensure optimal production and improve cost-effectiveness. With the power coming from renewable sources, the produced ammonia will be labelled as green ammonia. 💬 Kim Hedegaard, CEO Power-to-X at Topsoe, said: “With this new facility, we are taking an important step, which will benefit both Denmark and the rest of the world. We need to continue the development of green alternatives for energy-intensive industries and long-distance transportation with research, innovation and action. 🇧🇷 Brazil Potash Corp is fully permitted for construction 🔍 Brazil Potash has obtained, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Potássio do Brasil, all of the necessary permits and licenses required for construction of its Autazes Potash Project which will produce potash — an essential fertilizer for the food security in Brazil and the world. 💬 This crucial achievement allows us to move forward in the construction of the large-scale project, which has already started with initial activities on site, but will last an average of four years to be fully ready for operation. We are finalizing the planning of necessary tasks, such as the relocation of wildlife, archaeological surveys, and the suppression of vegetation in an appropriate and environmentally responsible way. These preparatory efforts are essential to lay the groundwork for the start of civil works by the end of this year. Until then, we are preparing for large-scale construction activities on several fronts, representing a significant advancement in the development schedule of our Project. 🦉 It's time for some #WednesdayWisdom with World Fertilizer! 💪 This week we are looking at an article from our new July/August issue where Pragati Verma, Greg Gedney and David Noblin, Greene Tweed, explained how the life cycle costs of pumps in the fertilizer manufacturing process can be reduced. 💬 "It is sensible to invest in high-performance thermoplastic composite components to mitigate the risk of pump failure and ensure the uninterrupted operations of ammonia and urea plants. Without the right materials, pumps are susceptible to premature wear, corrosion, and mechanical failures, leading to increased maintenance requirements, downtime, and operational inefficiencies."
