What an awesome list! We see you, Mecha Noodle Bar and Rodney Scott's BBQ, nice work on the steady growth, and thank you for being stellar 86 Repairs customers 🤗 Our team is really excited for the CREATE event in #Nashville! For those planning to attend, don't miss Daniel Estrada's Fireside Chat — it's going to be a great one!
OK, I'll say it: I think our 2024 Hot Concepts are among the best we've put forward yet (and this award has gone to companies like Raising Cane's, Panda Express, Jamba, and CAVA). Our editors considered hundreds of brands as we looked to identify emerging chains that have the best potential at becoming household names in the U.S. Here are the 6 we landed on: 🐔 Angry Chickz, a hot chicken fast casual with 26 locations 🍜 Mecha Noodle Bar, a full-service Asian concept with 10 locations ⛳ Puttshack, a mini golf eatertainment concept with 18 locations 🔥 Rodney Scott's BBQ, a barbecue joint with 5 locations 🌮 Tacombi, a taco fast casual with 22 locations 🍞 Toastique, a toast and juice café with 29 locations I'm taking the stage with leaders from these 6 chains at CREATE this Oct 9-11, discussing the highs and lows of their growth journeys. (Big thank you to The Coca-Cola Company for making this possible!) Congrats on the 20th location, Houston TX Hot Chicken! Here’s to three great years and many more to come! 🎉🔥🍗
Pro race car driver Edmond Barseghian likes to live on the fast lane. Since he founded Houston TX Hot Chicken (HHC) in 2021, he has partnered with Andrew K. Smith of Savory Fund to turn Barseghian’s local restaurant from Las Vegas into a national hot chicken chain through additional corporate growth and franchising. In just three years, HHC operates in eight states. Next week, the fast growing chain will open its 20th location in San Diego, and has 300 franchise commitments with a plan to have 75 opened restaurants by the end of next year. Current locations include Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Texas, Utah, Idaho, Michigan with plans to continue across the country, with the help of its growth partnership with Savory Fund. The Savory Fund is currently invested in 10 brands in addition to HHC: Swig, R&R BBQ, PINCHO, Via 313 Pizza, Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food, Saigon Hustle, Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Butcher South Block and restaurant equipment repair and maintenance company 86 Repairs. The HHC venture has been a fast and wild ride for Barseghian, whose family has been in the restaurant business. He grew up in Sweden with his father who owned and ran an Italian restaurant.

Using a CMMS or other solution to manage R&M shouldn’t put your relationships with service providers at risk. 86 Repairs gets out of the way so they can get their jobs done and so our customers can get better service. Vendors love to partner with 86 Repairs because we don’t interrupt how they work: they aren’t required to manage anything through our platform and are never charged to be visible within our network. Service providers continue business as usual without extra costs or complications. And restaurants reap the rewards: they get broader access to the best service in their area and continue working with providers they already know and love. Want to build better vendor relationships? Let's talk: https://bit.ly/3JlBtRZ

Finance and ops leaders: are you paying a fair price on your repair invoices? (Hint: if you’re using a CMMS or vendor broker, the answer is probably no.) Third parties like to require service providers to submit invoices through their software so they can mark them up before they forward them to you for payment. It not only costs operators more money, but it prevents them from working with some high-quality vendors. But a partnership with us means 86’ing those invoice markups—forever. We aren’t a middleman between our customers and vendors; we’re a true partner in R&M. We don’t see or process invoices before our customers—operators are billed directly by vendors, and vendors receive payment directly from operators. We only collect those invoices to unveil in-depth spending insights for operators. The result: no markups, no limitations to your service providers, and no mysteries around R&M in your P&L. Doesn’t that sound like a better way to manage R&M? Let’s chat about how we can get you started: https://bit.ly/3xxHh8B
