A coalition of business leaders advancing progressive solutions in housing, energy, opportunity, and transportation.
About us
We are a non-partisan alliance of progressive business leaders that creates sustainable growth and opportunity for everyone in Massachusetts. Alliance business leaders have one thing in common: we believe that social responsibility and the sustainable growth of the MA economy go hand in hand. Beyond that, we run the gamut: we are from companies large and small; long-established organizations and others that are still a bit wet behind the ears. We are boldfaced names you know and people you’ve never heard of. But we share a fervent commitment to creating growth and opportunity for everyone. We create change by connecting and leading. Connecting: We connect progressive business leaders to like-minded peers, establishing a network based on shared values. Then we connect that network with key policymakers and thought leaders so that we can collaborate on developing solutions to long-term social challenges. Leading: We turn up the volume on the voices of progressive business leaders, and change the perception of where the “business community” stands on issues. We advocate for progressive public policy on Beacon Hill, make ourselves heard in the press, and feature our business leaders at public events in order to advance a socially responsible agenda. We know how to bring about change, and we apply that know-how to big issues like tax fairness, environmental responsibility, pay equity and board diversity, and investing in transportation infrastructure. We keep our policy agenda nimble, so that we can get involved in the progressive issues our business leaders care about. Visit us at alliancebl.org to learn more and get involved. Whether you’re interested in our ABL Think Tank Brown Bag lunch series to get in the weeds about current hot policy topics, or our Progressive Power Hours with big name elected officials, we have a robust schedule of events to engage business leaders in the important work of advancing progressive policies.
