About us
Founded in the late 1890s by the Solomon Family, ACME Block & Brick, Inc. began as ACME Block and Tile Company. The Solomon’s ran the business up until 1942, when an entrepreneur, A.J. Rivers, Sr., bought the company. The company was originally designed to service the Roane County area but as of today, it has grown to cover a large area. ACME Block & Brick now serves Southern Kentucky throughout middle and eastern Tennessee and into northern Georgia. ACME is headquartered in Kingston, TN to provide a central location to operate an ever-growing block and brick business. Today ACME Block and Brick is still owned and managed by the Rivers family. The product line that was once dedicated to the production of only top-quality concrete blocks has expanded through the years into a full-blown masonry and hardscapes superstore. ACME supplies everyone from the architect designing the project to the weekend do-it-yourselfer. ACME Block & Brick, Inc. is a company based on the highest standards of quality and committed to delivering the best possible service. As we continue to grow and expand, we will always remain with the tradition that this company was built on.

Then headed over to the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Harriman. This will be a beautiful state of the art facility and a huge educational milestone for Roane County! We’re excited to share how we’re involved in revitalizing this original building. The Daugherty Furniture building opened in 1942, and was a popular furniture store throughout World War II. When finished, the newly restored Daugherty Lofts will provide 39 new loft-style apartments. Whew, lots of miles and smiles in the last 2 weeks. I would like to thank and acknowledge a few of our wonderful partners and their success with our Rosetta Hardscape Products. 1. Acme Block and Brick and their locations in Tenn. 2 huge Rosetta Grand Ledge jobs currently being installed. Both over 6000 plus sq ft walls. The team’s at Alcoa, Kingston and Chattanooga are all top notch individuals and please know we appreciate your business I have listed pictures below of their job in Maryville being installed at a Multi Family Development. And also a residential job being installed on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga. Both jobs are incredible! Thanks Guys. 2. Then Back to Boone NC where Red’s Home and Garden has a job being installed using our Kohah Wall. Red’s is located in North Wilkesboro NC. Red’s has done an incredible job promoting our products and please know it is much appreciated. 3. Then down the road to Statesville NC where we have a job being installed by Cornerstone Siteworks out of Lake Norman. It is a joint venture with our Partner Rosetta Hardscapes and ourselves (Peerless) doing R&D testing on a new paver we are bringing into the market for the first time. It looks gorgeous. I believe we have a winner! 4. Last but not least our trip to Charlotte for a fun evening with our new partners Markham Landscape Products. We broke bread and enjoyed drinks and golf at Charlotte TopGolf. A fun evening of getting to know each other better and showing our appreciation for their business and partnership. More miles to travel and more partners to visit to see their success selling our products and building up our Rosetta and Anchor brands. We sincerely appreciate the business of each and everyone of our partners! We couldn’t do it without you. It's simply an opportunity for the collective to understand the value and importance of the trades.
