2024: Was it a Year of Vintage Creativity? 🎨 💫 Is creativity taking a step back to better times? Are advertisers, clients and audiences all holding the desire for more emotion-driven and more genuine touchpoints? It was noted that this year, audiences in the ad industry embraced a more playful, nostalgic approach to storytelling - something that resonated deeply with jurors and viewers alike. According to Sian Coole, Creative Director, adam&eveDDB West, this shift towards fun and authenticity made campaigns stand out and helped create deeper and more meaningful relationships with customers. Sian explains further: "If my creative department is anything to go by, we’ll be seeing a lot more of this fun and frivolity in 2025. For me, it gets really interesting when this film hits social and takes on a new life: when TikTok turns Elphaba into a transition; when actual fans make Wicked their own.
