A trip to Japan led TJ Johnson into a unique business. Atlanta native TJ Johnson was inspired by a trip to Tokyo's vinyl bars to open Wax on Hi-Fi, a vinyl café and restaurant in Los Angeles. Combining her DJ background and experience in software engineering, Johnson created a unique space that merges the calming, precise atmosphere of Japanese vinyl bars with American social culture. Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm with more than $100 billion in assets under management, was looking to direct its focus towards investing in more AI companies in light of a $20 billion raise in April 2024. New beginnings are on the horizon for Kevin Ford! After working at Burger King without a missed day for 27 years, the company awarded his years of service with a goodie bag containing a movie ticket, candy, a Starbucks cup, a lanyard, two pens, and two keychains. After a video of him receiving his gift went viral, viewers believed it was not enough and started contributing to a GoFundMe campaign created by one of his daughters to help him afford a travel ticket to visit family.
