What an incredible day! The AGC MA Construction Leadership Council (CLC) partnered with the Boston Housing Authority (BHA) to revitalize the Franklin Field Youth Center at their Annual CLC Service Day. Together, they helped transform this essential community space into a vibrant hub for learning and recreation. From painting and cleaning, to assembling furniture and making repairs, our volunteers worked tirelessly to create a welcoming environment for kids and teens in the community. Our externs are making great strides in their journey through the construction industry! Wednesday was a day full of learning and hands-on experience. Externs explored preconstruction and project management technology at Walsh Brothers, Inc., followed by a jobsite visit to Mass General Hospital with Turner Construction Company. Exciting first day of the Building Advancement Externship (BAE) Program! Our externs kicked off their journey at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). The day began with icebreakers and an intro to the program, followed by an insightful overview of commercial construction and career pathways. Highlights included: - Jobsite visit to Doherty Memorial High School - Discussion on apprenticeship/internship programs - Panel on educational pathways into the industry Stay tuned for more updates as our externs dive deeper into the world of construction!

Another fantastic evening of networking and baseball at the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) Red Sox Outing! Young professionals in the construction industry gathered at Fenway Johnnie’s for a lively pre-game networking hour, building valuable connections over drinks and appetizers. Afterward, they made the short walk to historic Fenway Park to cheer on the Boston Red Sox as they took on the Seattle Mariners. The highlight of the night? Seeing our group up on the JumboTron!
