The Alabama STEM Council was created to advise on ways to improve STEM-related education, career awareness, and workforce development across the state. Formed on September 21, 2020 by Governor Kay Ivey’s Executive Order No. 721, the council members represent leaders from Alabama businesses, education, and state government. The council’s work will build on and extend Alabama’s Roadmap to STEM Success.

STEM Global Action engaged 1,200+ K-12 students, parents, caregivers and volunteers this weekend as we brought the magic of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to life at the TechMGM STEM Fest on Saturday, Sept 2 in Montgomery, AL during the HBCU Labor Day Classic Weekend❗️ Students and families had a blast at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex with 60+ hands-on stations where they explored the world of science, dove into the endless possibilities of technology, tackled engineering challenges, and uncovered the excitement of mathematics! 🧮🛠️🔬💻 Thank you to the more than 70 college and professional volunteers who helped make this event an impactful experience! We couldn’t have done this without you! 🙌 Special thanks to my Morehouse College brother and Mayor Steven L. Reed, Montgomery Alabama Public Schools - Official Site Superintendent Dr. Melvin J. Brown, Ed.D. and members of the Alabama STEM Council for coming out to support STEM learning and engagement at STEM Fest!
