All of it Now

Seeing all the rave reviews of the Fallout series has been a real proud moment for the virtual production team at All of it Now. The team spent over 4 months in the volume perfecting a multicamera workflow for celluloid film, using a combination of 3D environments and 2D plates, and getting all these moving pieces together was no small feat. A project of this scale is always a massive team effort that doesn’t always get represented in the final show credits, so we wanted to make sure the whole VP team was given the recognition they deserve. And of course, a very special thank you to our partners at SATORE STUDIO and the teams at Fuse Technical Group, MBS STUDIOS and Magnopus!

Congratulations to Fallout for the 16 (!!!!) Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Special Visual Effects, Production Design and of course, Best Drama Series! All of it Now's Volume Operations worked tirelessly for months alongside some of the most talented people we have ever had the pleasure of working with, including those from SATORE STUDIO, Magnopus, and Fuse Technical Group, and seeing the results of our collective labor fills us with a level of pride that cannot be fully articulated. Congratulations to Coldplay for a record setting performance at this weekend's Glastonbury festival! For this performance, All of it Now was tasked with taking volumetric capture recordings of all 7 members of BTS, and repurposing them for projection mapping onto the Pyramid Stage. These assets were originally recorded by Dimension Studio over 2 years ago for the My Universe music video, and we've been able to use them for this project, as well as for Coldplay's stunning performance on The Voice: https://lnkd.in/gzVBrYXb Volumetric capture technology represents an exciting opportunity for bringing AAA list talent to new places that they can't physically attend, and All of it Now leads the way on bridging the gap between the technical and creative possibilities for live events using this technology! BEYOND EXCITED to announce that DARK IN BERLIN is premiering at Cannes Next during the Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes. All of it Now was proud to serve as the Virtual Art Department (VAD) on the project, creating multiple environments, including Berlin's Berghain nightclub in Unreal Engine. Shout out to our incredible partners Gina Crow, Fuse Technical Group and Red Kite Films!

Virtual production for TV and film is a team sport - it’s a delicate dance of collaboration, communication, and organization between departments - and in the biggest projects, even within a single department! A great example of this cross-departmental collaboration was being able to integrate DMX lighting data from the lighting console into an LED volume. Being able to drive complex lighting systems within the Unreal environment further increased the creative and technical collaboration between departments, and resulted in a more cohesive integration between practical and virtual elements. It is a tremendous honor and pleasure to be part of the Fallout virtual production team, and the team at Epic has done a great case study on what made this project so special from both a creative and technical standpoint. After a long and highly anticipated wait, Fallout premieres on Amazon Prime tomorrow! Fallout is one of the greatest video game series of all time, and is being beautifully adapted to the TV format by a visionary creators Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy, and it was a real privilege to work alongside some incredible filmmakers and masters of the medium. One of the truly impressive elements of this project was working on a massive ICVFX LED volume being shot on celluloid film! The AOIN team worked closely alongside multiple departments to ensure a seamless color pipeline, and developed a few important tools in the process. We’re finalists for LAVNCH [CODE]'s Out of This World Experiences Awards! At Disney’s Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl, we used Sony’s Spatial Reality Display as a previsualization and collaboration tool. Augmented reality is new for many teams, so it was extremely helpful to be able to collaborate with multiple departments in a simple, intuitive 3D platform that requires no knowledge of Unreal Engine to navigate. One year ago, the Emmy-nominated Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl brought the incredible animated film into the real world. A spectacle for the eyes and ears, All of it Now infused the show with our signature #AR magic powered by the Sony Electronics Spatial Reality Display and #UnrealEngine. But such a dynamic production carries unique challenges – among them, getting the most from 3D augmented reality content for broadcast. Using Sony's SRD, All of it Now added an additional dimension to planning and previsualization, contextualizing how digital content would interact with the iconic Hollywood Bowl and identifying the best positions for the augmented reality graphics.
