  • We’re redefining what it means to provide dining services at Virginia Commonwealth University by enhancing campus fare to offer high-quality, diverse, and inclusive dining options. Key innovations include hiring an executive pastry chef, acquiring an extruder to make pasta from scratch, introducing the first solely vegan station and a station free of the top eight food allergens (True Balance), partnering with local farms to source fresh, local produce, and offering 100% halal chicken across all dining halls. These advancements are not just about serving students but also about ensuring inclusivity, safety for those with dietary restrictions, and improving the overall campus experience. Food Service Director for Aramark VCU Dining Services, Aaron Morgan, says, “I want people with dietary restrictions to feel safe and comfortable, and to teach our staff how to communicate with the students when they have an issue.     A heartfelt shout-out to the amazing teams at our schools in the Southeast Region for their dedication to ensuring student safety and well-being during this hurricane season. At the University of South Florida, the dining team worked tirelessly to continue meal service and prepared over 4,000 meal kits, providing much-needed nourishment for students and emergency personnel as they ride out the storm. Meanwhile, Florida State University's team came together to deliver non-perishable food items to every residence hall on campus, ensuring students have access to essential supplies. Our communities continue to showcase the true meaning of teamwork and care to ensure everyone has the resources they need. #FuturesBetterServed
