We caught up with Rob DelaCruz, Vice President and General Manager of Grubhub’s campus business, just in time for students and faculty return to campus across the country for the start of the fall semester. He shares his perspective on the campus business evolution over the past year, his team’s record achievements for the 2023-2024 school year, and his approach to fostering a culture that continues to drive momentum. Ahead of the school year, we added more than 60 new university partners, and now reach more than 4.5 million students who can connect their meal plans to Grubhub to skip the line when they order food from on- and off-campus restaurants. We’ve also grown the number of campus partners using our innovative services and solutions that redefine the campus dining experience, including robot delivery, Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology and Topanga.io reusable containers. It was great to catch up with Keir Mather MP last week to show him our robots in action from the Co-op supermarket in Kippax, Leeds. We demonstrated the customer journey from start to finish: placing an order on the app, picking the order in the store and then following the robot as it autonomously made its delivery. We discussed the community acceptance work we do prior to launching, how our robots learn and avoid obstacles and, of course, the need for regulation. #lastmiledelivery #autonomy #robotdelivery

Our autonomous delivery service is now live at Georgia Institute of Technology! We're continuing to expand our reach and provide thousands of new students with the benefits of Starship's autonomous delivery service. Today, a new form of dining convenience has arrived for the Yellow Jackets, and we can't wait to roll into a fantastic semester together.
Autonomous food-delivering robots are now taking meals to Yellow Jackets across campus. Using sensors, cameras, and AI, Starship Technologies robots use sidewalks but can cross streets and climb curbs. Students can order on the Starship app. | c.gatech.edu/3An6bch
