🌟 Congratulations to my professor, Prof. Julie Ju-Youn Kim, FAIA, on her participation in the Facades+ Atlanta Roundtable! Last semester, I had the incredible opportunity to work under the mentorship of Prof. Kim and Alexander Briseño (HKS) as part of Georgia Tech’s precast facade design studio. Their guidance deepened my understanding of culturally responsive design and tectonic innovation, especially through our exploration of the Buford Highway corridor—a project I’ll always cherish. While I’m currently in University of Tokyo for the Smart City Studio and unable to attend, I’m immensely proud of our team’s work! This event will showcase groundbreaking ideas bridging academia and industry, including insights from Ray Clark and Mo Wright (GATE Precast). Excited for everyone to see the work our studio poured their hearts into! ✨ A huge thanks to the team—hope our designs inspire as much as they challenged us. Don’t miss the discussion! 😊
On March 21, the Facades+ conference series will take place in Atlanta. The program consists of case studies covering Atlanta projects and topical roundtable discussions on tectonic plasticity, energy performance, facade collaboration, adaptive facade systems, and material innovation in facades. https://ow.ly/T77Y50VgzWv
