Our third crew transfer vessel "Atlantic Resolute" is well underway at St. Johns Ship Building, Inc. This US Jones Act-Compliant vessel will be the latest EPA Tier 4 Ambitious Class designed by Chartwell Marine Ltd to enter the US market by Atlantic Wind Transfers. It has been great to be part of the shipyard transition under the new ownership of the Libra Group to support the offshore wind industry. Excited to share our progress with our suppliers and clients at the International WorkBoat Show 2023. Another incredible day offshore last month at Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) participating in several USCG drills with Dominion Energy, Siemens Gamesa, U.S. Coast Guard, Virginia Beach Fire Department, Atlantic Wind Transfers and the Port of Virginia Maritime Incident Response Team. The drills were focused on a Helicopter rescue off the wind turbine nacelle and a vessel to vessel transfer off our CTV. Every drill provided a valuable learning experience for all parties involved and by the end of the day we all took home rescue scenarios that we have confidence in that will add to the health and safety of CVOW as well as lessons learned that will benefit the U.S. offshore wind industry. Kudos to Dominion Energy and Siemens Gamesa for taking a very proactive role in developing these offshore emergency response procedures and policies and working closely with the local rescue agencies and the United States Coast Guard. #offshorewind, #offshorewindenergy, #coastguard, #drills, #virginia, #coastalvirginia, #atlanticwindtransfers, #dominionenergy, #siemensgamesa, #crewtransfervessel, #ctv
