About us
Since its inception in 1987, the Aurora Public Schools Foundation has served to foster support of education within the Aurora Public School District by bringing together teachers, business-people, parents, alumni and community leaders. Our Vision: Possibility becomes reality for every student. Our Mission: Cultivate community investment to enrich student opportunity. Strategic Objectives: The Aurora Public Schools Foundation advances private, non-profit, public and philanthropic partnerships to develop and leverage resources for projects and programs that drive innovation and excellence for nearly 40,000 students, 4,200 teachers and staff, and 61 schools. We fulfill our mission by: • Creating a college-bound culture throughout APS through the support of College and Career Centers that provide high school students with critical information on post secondary options, and tools to help them find and pursue their goals after graduation; • Facilitating direct philanthropic support to classrooms, schools and programs across the district; and • Stewarding a robust student scholarship program created through the generosity of individuals, families and organizations throughout our community.

Join us in giving a warm welcome to Marilyn, our newest intern at the APS Foundation! 🎉 Marilyn is a senior at William Smith High School and has also been expanding her skills at Pickens Technical College, where she’s taken courses in Marketing with a focus on Hospitality and Tourism and is currently part of the Executive Internship Program. In just her first week, Marilyn jumped right in, assisting with our Annual Relentless Gala, she’s also helped out at the Educator Emporium (our free school supply store for APS educators), and with various marketing and administrative projects. We’re thrilled to have Marilyn with us, and we can't wait to see her shine as she continues to build her expertise. After graduation, Marilyn plans to apply her skills toward a career in real estate! 🏡 ✨ #WelcomeMarilyn #InternSpotlight #FutureRealtor Aurora Public Schools

Yesterday, the Services & Festival Teams at Visit Aurora had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at the Aurora Public Schools Foundation Educator Emporium! We helped restock supplies and check in teachers for their shopping day, where they picked up items for their students and classrooms at no cost. ✨📚 It was so great to connect with the APS Foundation and see first-hand the amazing impact they are making in the community. We were happy to help support a space committed to celebrating and supporting our hardworking teachers!
