At #AU2024, Autodesk shared exciting developments in Autodesk’s AI advancements for AECO, manufacturing, and media and entertainment industries. "Autodesk’s AI strategy is built on three core beliefs: reimagining the future and the way we work is inevitable; AI needs to solve problems our customers have today; and AI should enhance human ingenuity, not replace it." Raji Arasu, Chief Technology Officer speaks more on the news here: https://lnkd.in/eTtCB6ic #AI #manufacturing #mediaandentertainment

Whether it’s seeing each other in-person for the first time in a year, or the first time ever (don’t people seem shorter or taller outside of Zoom?), the energy always makes AU a joy to attend! As folks head out of San Diego, we want to share some (big shout out to researchers who watched virtually to support their colleagues) of the wonderful faces of Research—it's truly such a delight to work with such talented individuals across the globe. Stay tuned for next year—Autodesk Research has some big plans. Until then, we’ll keep posting #AU2024 session recaps and learnings because why stop the party when you’re having so much fun? 🎉 #research #thatsawrap

Have you seen the doggos at #AU2024? There were a few in Evan Atherton's presentation too 🐕 Adorable pups aside, here were a few fun takeaways from "From Keyframes to Directing Performances: Redefining Character Animation with AI" though you can also get a quick rundown from the video below. 🎬 The fundamental technique that animators use to create performances hasn't changed in over a century. 🚶Even though the science isn't particularly new, by combining it with core capabilities we already have at Autodesk, we're able to create a novel artist-centric, production-ready workflow for character animators. 👾 The one thing that's super important to me personally in wading through all this generative AI hype is to give artists final control over their art. #animation #AI #research

💺 So you've read all about Project Bernini and you've seen the pics, but did you know this #AU2024 installation was designed by an Autodesk Researcher and printed at the Technology Center in San Francisco? Kimia Farahnak, Additive Workshop Assistant, created this collection of prints titled "64 Chairs" which are iterations of one chair generated by Bernini Generative AI (V1 and V2). After a combination of text, sketch, image, voxel, and point cloud prompts, each model was 3D printed on the EOS Formiga P110 Velocis using PA2200 Nylon. #AI #GenerativeAI #3Dprint
