We desperately need more funding for in-home pediatric and adult shift nursing in Pennsylvania’s budget this year. More than 10,000 children and adults across PA with medically complex conditions are eligible to receive these services, often requiring ventilator or tracheostomy care. However, low Medicaid reimbursement rates are making it increasingly difficult to hire and retain nurses and aides necessary to provide this life saving care.
