Creating an Arizona where all children thrive
About us
Through research, publications, media campaigns, and advocacy, CAA seeks to influence policies and decisions affecting the lives of Arizona children and their families on issues related to health, child abuse and neglect, early care and education, budget and taxes, juvenile justice, children and immigration, and working families. CAA works toward a future in which all children have health insurance, no child is raised in poverty and hunger, every child enters school ready to learn and succeed, no child endures the ravages of abuse and neglect, every child has a place to call home, and struggling teens have the support they need to become responsible adults.

🤔 Access to high-quality child care and early learning programs greatly benefits families in Arizona by supporting children's healthy development and promoting positive outcomes. When child care is accessible, parents can remain in the workforce, and quality child care lays a strong foundation for a child's future. But the reality is that the price and access to child care have presented challenges to Arizona’s hard-working families. Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/gc_BtCuq

Children’s Action Alliance is excited to be part of the Arizona Early Childhood Alliance (AZECA), a leading advocate for early childhood in Arizona. We need your insights to help AZECA enhance the services and systems for young children and their families in Arizona. If you are a parent or caregiver of a child aged 0-3, we invite you to complete the AZECA Arizona Family Survey. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand and meet the needs of Arizona’s youngest children and their families. The survey is available in both English and Spanish. Why Participate? The survey is brief, taking only about 5 minutes. Your responses can directly influence improvements in early childhood services. Participants may receive survey results and have the chance to join a parent advocacy group. Enter a raffle to win a $100 Visa gift card! Great conference with 4TH TRIMESTER ARIZONA. I was honored to present on the links between child care and maternal and child health. A lack of child care is a major reason postpartum visits are missed. Most countries provide paid parental leave, which is associated with better maternal health. This is something Children's Action Alliance and Arizona Center for Economic Progress have been working with state and national leaders to address.
