Today we launch OCEAN, the world’s largest and most productive area-wide 3D printing solution. With a 812 mm x 812 mm build area and speeds of over 300 mm per hour, OCEAN represents new economic paradigm for polymer production. We are excited to open the door to new partnerships with industry leaders who are ready to take advantage of these capabilities to disrupt their own markets. https://lnkd.in/gZ2_xVk2

This has been a fun and exciting year at Azul 3D, Inc. We launched the largest DLP printer ever commercialized a couple of months ago, and today, we are launching our smallest printer. Sometimes to go big, you have to go small first. We find breakthroughs in production start with breakthroughs in materials. That is exactly what this printer enables - rapid development of new materials while parameters perfectly translate to our LAKE and OCEAN platforms when you move from development into production.
On the heels of launching our OCEAN printing platform, we have now released a small-scale 3D printing system called POND to enable faster and cost-effective material and application development. Powered by the same proprietary HARP tech as the rest of the portfolio, POND is a research-friendly tool that enables innovators to push the limits of additive manufacturing. Collaborations with programs like the Master of Science in Machine Learning and Data Science at Northwestern University are a win-win. We help to train the data scientists of the future while building the AI process control that will unlock new additive manufacturing production opportunities.
Azul 3D, Inc collaborated with the MLDS program in a union that allowed students to gain industry experience and helped the company accelerate its machine learning knowledge. “There has been a lot of buzz about artificial intelligence and machine learning lately and how that is changing the landscape of businesses," said co-founder and chief product officer James Hedrick. "Collaborating with MLDS has accelerated our understanding and adoption of this. At the same time, it has given us a great pipeline of highly qualified candidates.” #machinelearning #analytics #datascience
