We’ve got a few ideas ⬇️ 📅 Plan Ahead: Communicate deadlines for holiday PTO requests clearly (email, Slack, your company intranet, the whole shebang) 🔄 Experiment with a Rotation System: Consider alternating who or which teams gets priority for popular days off — and make sure you accommodate teams like support and sales who may need more flexibility 📊 Use Data: Analyze past years' trends to anticipate busy periods 🚦 Set Clear Policies: Establish and communicate transparent guidelines for holiday PTO approval 💆♀️ Set a Healthy Example: Remind employees (and yourself!) of the importance of recharging What else would you add to the mix? Washington D.C.'s Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute is welcoming two new pandas — and it goes without saying we're pretty excited about it! 🐼 Some fun facts about our new friends: 宝力 Bao Li [BOW-lee]: 🐼 Male giant panda 2️⃣ Two years old 💪 💎 Name means "treasure" and "energetic" in Mandarin Chinese 青宝 Qing Bao [ching-BOW]: 🐼 Female giant panda 3️⃣ Three years old 💚 💎 Name means “green” and “treasure” in Mandarin Chinese Bao Li and Qing Bao will live at the National Zoo until April 2034. This week, BambooHR's most creative brains got together at our Draper, UT HQ for their annual Marketing Summit to discuss 2025 goals and strategic pillars, dive into individual functions, and of course, enjoy plenty of quality time and laughs! Their secret to a successful onsite? Striking the right balance between work and play! Here's just some of what the team did over the last few days: 🏗️ Tested team-building skills making marshmallow and spaghetti towers 💪 Held a Women in Leadership panel featuring female leaders across BambooHR ⛳ Got fresh air during a golf scramble tournament (plus, pickleball and mountain biking!) 🧠 Spent time with individual teams to discuss goals and bond outside of day-to-day meetings 🏎️ Raced for gold at a nail-biting Mario Kart competition What are your favorite onsite activities?
