We're on the lookout for a Social Media ________. But we're tired of the usual clichés, e.g.- Maven, Ninja, etc. You must have 1-4 years of work ex, be generally concerned about the fact that you spend far too much time on Insta, know how to sound different on LinkedIn, have close-to-flawless written English (gotta know the rules before you can break 'em), know the difference between "its" and "it's" and be very excited/passionate about advertising, production, content and film. You will work closely with the Founder and be responsible for expressing the voice of an exciting brand that's been a true pioneer and leader in its space, and is doing cool shit at a global level across advertising and entertainment. Interested? Mail mohsin@bangbang.tv Also, fill in the blank above with a word that isn't a tired cliché.

It’s raining roster announcements at BANG BANG. Last week we announced John Fredrick Peter Mayne This week, we’re thrilled to announce the very talented and hungry to deliver Ritvick Sharad who’s an up-and-coming auto talent. The guy is a next-level motorhead who cut his teeth at PowerDrift has a fab reel already and is now joining us to take his advertising work to the next level in India and the world. So if you’ve got a car brand, a bike brand, tyres, motor oil, whatever, he’s your man. Hit us up so we can create magic for and with you… Music: Black Eyed Pease - Pump It

PROJECT UPDATE- ASHA PUTHLI: THE DEVIL IS LOOSE selected for The Gotham Film & Media Institute Project Market Slate for Gotham Week https://lnkd.in/dYJhqXd7 Some of you may have heard of Asha Puthli but I'm pretty sure most of you haven't. THE DEVIL IS LOOSE is a feature documentary about her rollercoaster life. https://lnkd.in/dz82e5yW Asha, a forgotten jazz and disco icon from the 70s, has a story that is almost unbelievable. Yet, it's true. She grew up in Bombay and lived in New York, London, Germany and Florida. Among other things, she sang backup for Ornette Coleman, was almost the first disco icon, headlined at Studio 54, was BFFs with Andy Warhol, acted in a Merchant-Ivory film and an Italian action/comedy, interviewed Mikhail Gorbachev, etc. You know...the usual! While she disappeared from public performance for many years, her music continued to have a strong underground following and was even sampled by many of Hip Hop’s biggest names including Jay-Z, Diddy, 50 Cent, The Pharcyde and more. Her fight for royalties is a whole other story. More recently, thanks in large part to the efforts of Naya Beat, her music has been reissued, remixed and rereleased and is playing on radio stations and in clubs the world over. The Devil Is Loose is a Sugarman-esque tale with incredible highs and lows and anecdotes and incidents that will totally require you to pick your jaw up off the floor. Her story speaks to the historical and ongoing challenges of women artists in music, breaking social barriers and cultural stereotypes, mental health and issues surrounding aging, elder care and family. It's being helmed by filmmaker Shruti Ganguly (Director of 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘜𝘱, Co-Executive Producer of Oscar-nominated 𝘛𝘰 𝘒𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘈 𝘛𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘳) and produced by me along with Caryn Capotosto (𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥: 𝘐 𝘈𝘮 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘓𝘪𝘭 𝘕𝘢𝘴 𝘟: 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘰). Asha is now smack bang in the middle of her first world tour in over 40 years. At age 79! And we're right behind her on this spectacular journey. Starting this May, she's already rocked LA (twice!), Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, London, Paris and even Glastonbury among others and there's a lot more to come including Gilles Peterson's We Out Here festival. For those of you in India, stay tuned for some exciting announcements too. I'm going to leave you with some recent scintillating press coverage about Asha. Here's what the LA Times and The Guardian had to say about her: https://lnkd.in/dQG7A8Tr https://lnkd.in/dz3awSbq And here's one covering her Glastonbury gig this year: https://lnkd.in/dDQTkDeA Stay tuned for updates as we progress!
