    Our employee support center continues to provide critical assistance to our North Cove colleagues, many of whom have experienced significant property damage. The center is open daily to distribute food, water, toiletries, generators and other essential supplies, provide laundry and shower facilities, and offer support from our HR team. Thanks to the North Cove colleagues who are staffing the center every day and our Batesville, Ind. team, who dispatched our fleet to bring several truckloads of supplies to Marion. We're in this together! #NorthCoveStrong

    We continue to make steady progress in restoring our North Cove facility, which was impacted by Hurricane Helene. We have not identified structural damage to the facility to date and installed a temporary rock bridge to provide access to the site. This bridge enables us to bring in heavy equipment to support the cleanup and remediation process. This past weekend, we also used it to move finished product off site that was not impacted by the storm. We have resumed shipments to hospitals and dialysis patients at previously communicated allocation levels after the temporary hold last week and are ramping up production in several global plants to help meet U.S. needs.     Our North Cove facility in North Carolina remains closed for production due to the significant impact from Hurricane Helene, which brought unprecedented rain and storm surge to the area. We are working around the clock to advance the recovery process but do not yet have a timeline for when operations will be back up and running. Baxter CEO Joe Almeida visited our North Cove facility this week to help support our team. “I am in awe of the team spearheading our hurricane response, in the midst of the personal impact this storm is having on our colleagues and their families. We know that our North Cove plant is foundational to U.S. healthcare. We are doing all that we can to get operations back online as soon as possible. We are committed to North Cove and thank our employees, customers, suppliers and local, state and federal officials for their partnership and support during this incredibly difficult situation.” In the past five days, we have made early progress to support our local employees, begin remediation to our facility and infrastructure, and implement plans to manage our inventory to help support supply continuity.
