Our team has been hitting the road, attending career fairs at colleges across the Greater Houston area, including College of the Mainland, Lamar University, and University of Houston, all in search of our next group of interns for May! We’re on the lookout for talented interns in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. This summer we welcomed our first operator intern. Cayden Foster joined us from San Jacinto College where he is working on his Process Technology degree. He started at Baystar by completing his General Operator Skills training and then joined one of our shifts, where he learned how to operate our B2 extruder, charge chemical additives, catch samples, make equipment rounds and much more. Cayden had the opportunity to receive hands-on experience in a petrochemical plant, and we are so proud that he earned his B1 and B2 Extruder Qualifications while working with us this summer. Best of luck to Cayden as he heads back to school. We look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next!
