We’re excited to introduce the next two fellows from this year’s Genesis cohort! Each of these impressive individuals has their own unique experiences and a strong commitment to our mission. We can’t wait to see the positive impact they’ll have on our Movement. 🌟 Brandon Kaufman Brandon is from Irvine, California and graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in public relations and a minor in communication design. Brandon is an active member of the local Jewish community and enjoys connecting people with shared values together in a fun space. He especially loves to host events and connect people to new friends! Brandon loves audiobooks, watching TV, and exploring the various pizza places around town. He is excited to continue working with the teens in CRW and learning from other fellows. 🌟 Emily Kolodney Emily is from Austin, Texas and an alumna of BBYO Lonestar Region. She graduated from Muhlenberg College with a degree in Judaic studies and religious studies. In addition to being a former International S’ganit and International N’siah, Emily has been involved with BBYO as an AZA & BBG Movement Intern for the past three years. She is passionate about leadership development and community building and looks forward to contributing her skills and enthusiasm to the fellowship program. Welcome Brandon and Emily! Your BBYO staff team just wrapped an incredible week in Fairfax, Virginia, where we gathered for our annual Staff Conference. From sharing new ideas to celebrating our summer spotlight award winners, we spent time learning, growing, and recharging for the exciting year ahead. Thank you to our Talent Team and Staff Conference Planning Team members for putting this together. We're leaving energized, inspired, and ready to bring it all home.

We're proud to recognize BBYO alumnus Max Perry for his recent achievement in being awarded the prestigious Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service! 🎉 As a former Regional Shaliach for Kentucky Indiana Ohio Region, Max’s journey in BBYO was marked by his dedication to Holocaust education and combating antisemitism, including his leadership of the 2022 Holocaust Survivor Cincinnati Speaking Tour. Now a junior at Vanderbilt University, Max will use this scholarship to further his work combating antisemitism, promoting civil discourse to reduce political polarization, and expanding access to education for non-traditional students. His BBYO experience was instrumental in shaping his leadership and commitment to public service. Congratulations, Max – your BBYO family is cheering you on!

The fun of International Convention isn’t just for teens! We're seeking dedicated teammates to help make BBYO International Convention 2025 an unforgettable experience for teens from around the world! IC empowers teens to embrace their Jewish identity, grow as leaders, and improve their communities. We can't do it without dynamic volunteers who can connect with teens and enrich their experience. Each of these individuals brings their own unique experiences and dedication to our mission, and we're eager to see the positive influence they'll have on our Movement. 🌟 Lillian Brown Lily graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor's degree in media studies and a minor in journalism. She is excited to begin her Genesis Fellowship in BBYO Nassau Suffolk Region. After years of involvement with BBYO in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, she is eager to connect with new people and deepen her relationship with an organization that has greatly impacted her life. In her free time, she loves traveling—having recently completed a Semester at Sea—spending time with friends and enjoying the company of any and all animals. 🌟 Hannah Fritts Hannah was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and is an alumna of BBYO North Texas Oklahoma Region. She graduated from Elon University with a degree in middle grades education. Hannah sees the value of informal educational settings and what can’t always be taught in a classroom. This has strengthened her passion for what she knew to be true: BBYO allows Jewish teens to better understand who they are by learning how to elevate each other's voices as peers and community builders. Hannah loves all things yoga, travel, and cooking and can’t wait to see what’s in store in her new role as the Genesis Fellow in New England Region! Help us welcome members of our second cohort into the Genesis Fellowship program and into our BBYO family! Starting off, we're excited to introduce you to Ariella and Abe. 🌟 Ariella Altchouler Ariella was born and raised in Cleveland but lived in Israel for the past ten years until she recently relocated back to Cleveland with her husband. She received her BFA in photography from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem as well as a teaching degree from the Levinsky College for Education in Tel Aviv. Ariella is excited to get reacquainted with Cleveland and is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing organization. She can’t wait to meet and start working with teens. 🌟 Abraham Barnes Abe is originally from Oakland, California, and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in sports marketing and management and a minor in Jewish Studies. Abe is excited to return to the organization that helped him grow so much in high school. He is looking forward to gaining new experiences while building professional skills and meeting great people along the way.
