Last week, the BernCo Board of Commissioners recognized some incredible individuals who are making a real difference! 🤠🐴 Commissioners acknowledged Michael and Laura Chavez, founders of the First Impression Rodeo Club, Inc., for dedicating 20 years to growing youth rodeo in Bernalillo County. From leading events to designing awards, their work created a safe, engaging space for young riders, drawing participants from across the Southwest. Now retiring, they leave a legacy of community, passion, and positive impact on countless lives. Here’s to an incredible legacy and a well-deserved next chapter! 🌞🏞️ County commissioners also recognized the hardworking team behind our beautiful public spaces! With Raúl Munoz, Jr. at the helm, the BernCo Land Management Section maintains over 2,000 acres of parks, fields, and open spaces, ensuring safe and welcoming environments for all. From landscaping and irrigation to safety inspections and event setup, they go above and beyond—even in challenging conditions—to keep our community thriving. Congratulations to these exceptional individuals who enrich the Bernalillo County community. Your achievements inspire us all!
