Beverly Hospital has been awarded the 2024 Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of Grants and Research Child Passenger Safety Grant. This grant helps reduce child passenger safety injuries by ensuring low-income families have the correct car seat and caregivers are educated on proper installation and usage. This makes the 7th time we've been awarded this grant since 2016 totaling over $36,800! These funds go directly to providing 400 car seats for families in our community that may not have the means to purchase a safe car seat themselves. In honor of National Nursing Assistants Week, we spoke with some of our colleagues to find out what attracted them to their profession and to our hospitals. Today we spoke to YouHee Park, who growing up in Chad, Africa, had always dreamt of becoming a doctor so that he could help the sick around him. YouHee enjoys being a Nursing Assistant because they are able to spend the most time with patients. This week aims to celebrate and recognize the incredible work that nursing assistants do every day in our hospitals. Thank you, YouHee!
