We are excited to share that 12 of our talented members from the Conrad Prebys Ramona Branch participated in the Helen Woodward Animal Center’s "Remember Me Thursday" STEM to the Rescue contest! Our youth created innovative and enriching environments for cats and dogs based on their chosen breeds, helping to shine a light on the importance of rescuing from shelters. Congratulations to Alexander, who won 1st place with “Part of the Family,” Diego & Levi for 2nd place with “Fun in the Snow,” and Rena, Jamie & Keily for 3rd place with “This is OUR House.” A huge thank you to the amazing volunteers from Foley & Lardner LLP for your support and guidance throughout this contest! A massive THANK YOU to DPR Construction and their incredible volunteers for their outstanding contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego’s Ron Roberts Branch in Linda Vista! Their hard work went beyond just repairing and replacing picnic tables – they also installed beautiful new vegetable gardens, added fresh playground mulch, and completed both interior and exterior painting, all made possible thanks to Century Painting Corp. One Month, One Million, Building Possibilities for The Under-Resourced …and that’s a wrap! DPR’s 10th annual Service September was BIG. During Service September, DPR volunteers unleash our most powerful resource into our communities: our skills as builders. This year, more than 550 volunteers from DPR and our Family of Companies invested 5,000+ hours to complete more than $1,100,000 in needed facility construction work for our partners nationwide. A big thank you to DPR San Diego’s Business Unit Leadership Team for leading by example and getting their hands dirty at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego Ron Roberts branch in Linda Vista. Scope of work included repair and replacement of picnic tables, new fence screening, new vegetable garden, new organic playground mulch, and interior & exterior painting generously donated by Century Painting Corp. These pro bono projects are investments in our communities that will last for decades. Join me in celebrating the world-changing work our Community Initiatives teams accomplished.
