📅This time next week, along with our partners at InBestSoil and MRV4SOC project, we will organize 'Carbon Farming Certification,' the second webinar hosted on the Soil Community Platform. 🎙️ We're thrilled to introduce one of our esteemed speakers, Chiara De Notaris, agroecologist and Junior Scientist at the CMCC Foundation - Centro Euro Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici, representing both #InBestSoil and #BIOservicES projects. 🌱🌱 Chiara is leading the task on the EU Carbon Farming certification framework, and she'll present on 'Valuing the benefits of carbon farming beyond carbon: indicators to assess soil ecosystem services.' 🙌 #InBestSoil and #BIOservicES are dedicated to enhancing the economic value of soil ecosystem services linked to soil health and biodiversity while adhering to EU Carbon Removal and Carbon Farming Regulations. While promoting sustainability co-benefits is crucial, creating a unified assessment method poses challenges. Our projects will develop and evaluate indicators for various ecosystem services across multiple experimental sites, comparing best management practices with standard controls.
