I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve joined Brave Health as Chief Medical Officer, where I’ll be focusing on expanding access to mental health care for underserved populations, particularly those covered by Medicaid. To my friends and colleagues at Bend Health, thank you for the incredible journey we’ve shared. I’m deeply grateful to Monika Roots, MD, FAPA and Kurt Roots for the opportunity to serve as CMO. The work we’ve done together has been meaningful, and I’m proud of the progress we made in advancing pediatric mental health care. The relationships and friendships I’ve built with the Bend team have been invaluable, I’ll always cherish the moments we’ve shared and will keep rooting for you from the sidelines. Joining Brave Health is a responsibility I don’t take lightly, and I’m truly honored by the trust that Jake Schwartz, Anna Lindow, Jill Maguire-Ward, Shivani Amar, Sarah Tilton, Julia Williams, RRT, LCSW - QS, Anna Fagin, and the entire Brave team have placed in me. I was fortunate to meet many of you during the recruitment process—so many, in fact, that I can’t possibly list everyone here without exceeding LinkedIn’s character limit! But to each of you, thank you for the warm welcome and your belief in what we can achieve together. Far too often, I’ve seen mental health innovation fall short when it comes to addressing the needs of our most underserved populations, particularly those on Medicaid. Many solutions, while well-intentioned, struggle to truly meet these individuals where they are. That’s why I’m so excited to be part of Brave—a team that is tackling this challenge head-on. I’m eager to prove that true innovation is possible in this space, and I’m passionate about working with this vulnerable population. At the same time, I’m committed to building on the best-in-class clinician experience, ensuring that our providers are supported and empowered to deliver the highest quality care.
