Let’s celebrate the initiatives that successfully completed the EDP Hope Fund program! This journey of training and collaboration, carried out with EDP and Ashoka Spain, has remarked the importance of collaboration and innovation in the energy sector. For two months, the entrepreneurs worked hard to develop innovative energy solutions that have the potential to impact communities both locally and globally. These initiatives not only made significant progress in their business models, but also demonstrated how working together can create real and tangible change. 🌱 Special round of applause for the 2 winners: Fabio Parigi, Ph.D. and Alexis Serra Rovira, who stood out for their vision, commitment, and ability to transform the future of energy. Congratulations to all the ventures that constantly demonstrate dedication and vision. The future of energy is being transformed with the help of these initiatives. 💚

They provide training, mentorship, and funding to startups. Through the Ecosystem Building model, we connect and empower ESOs worldwide. The goal? We're proud to announce a new, exciting project: a collaborative research initiative led by Bridge for Billions, the Conecta Community, and the ANDE Latinoamérica to map gaps and needs within two regional entrepreneurial ecosystems: 🔹 Latin America 🔹 Africa Many organizations and stakeholders work with entrepreneurs across these regions, often facing lack of support and funding. With this in-depth investigative study we want to offer a comprehensive status of what's needed to strengthen collaboration and efficiency, equipping different actors with tools to maximize future, positive impact. Nowhere in the world are forests shrinking faster than in South-East Asia. That’s why in 2024 we partnered with UNEP and 3 local organizations across Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Viet nam, to provide 5 months of intensive training to local ecopreneurs. The Forest Ecopreneurs program, launched under The Restoration Factory Program framework, wanted to tackle climate change and biodiversity loss by supporting local businesses that protect and restore forests and the environment. As a result, 43 businesses successfully graduated, driving significant positive impact in areas like ecotourism, NTFPs, planting, agriculture. With on-going mentoring support and complementing activities, this experience created connections that go beyond business, helping the entrepreneurs construct a sustainable future for themselves and their communities. We’ll soon be supporting other cohorts of entrepreneurs in Bhutan, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Viet Nam, more motivated than ever to push the boundaries of sustainable entrepreneurship. 💼🌿 Big thanks to the Korea Forest Service (KFS), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the key local partners: - Research Institute for Innovation and Development (Vietnam) - Impact Hub Phnom Penh (Cambodia) - XM Technovator (Lao PDR) - Loden Foundation (Bhutan) 💙

The EDP Hope Fund Incubator wraps up with extraordinary impact! For two months, 13 innovative initiatives in the energy sector participated in a program designed to accelerate and promote their growth. This process included intensive training sessions, personalized mentoring, and sustainable practices, which strengthened and refined their business models. Thanks to this effort, we’re negotiating a total of $825,000 in investment rounds and are implementing strategic improvements; leading to a more inclusive and fair energy transition. 🔋✨ This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the collective effort of Bridge for Billions, EDP, and Ashoka España 💚 Thank you to all the collaborators and participants for their commitment!
