BRIGHTSPACE is a European research project aiming to design a roadmap for effective and sustainable strategies for assessing and addressing the challenges of EU agriculture to navigate within a Safe and Just Operating Space. Das von der EU-Kommission (#GDAGRI) mit rund 10 Mio. Euro über 5 Jahre bis 2027 geförderte Projekt BrightSpace Horizon Europe Project soll einen Fahrplan für wirksame und nachhaltige Strategien zur Bewertung und Bewältigung der Herausforderungen der #EULandwirtschaft entwickeln. Der Zeithorizont reicht hier bis in das Jahr 2050. Mit Blick auf die Erarbeitung von geeigneten, möglichst realitätsnahen Modellierungen bis 2050 diskutierten die Teilnehmer von Projektpartnern und beteiligten Stakeholdern aus #Politik, #Wissenschaft, #Landwirtschaft, #Agribusiness und #Naturschutz bei einem Arbeitstreffen im belgischen Leuven diese Woche insbesondere die Relevanz und Eignung von Modellindikatoren sowie die Auswahl einer belastbaren Ausgangslage bzw. Baseline für den Zustand und die Herausforderungen der #Landwirtschaft in der EU (und weltweit). Der DBV ist hier für COPA COGECA mit einer starken Stimme und Input aus Sicht der #Landwirtschaft vertreten.
