We’re starting the week with outstanding news from Amory, Mississippi, with the announced August opening date for Amory High School’s football stadium – the project is on schedule for completion in time for the start of both the school year and football season! This is a meaningful milestone in the ongoing effort to rebuild the school district’s facilities after the devastation of last year’s tornado, and we are delighted the students and community in Amory will soon have home fields to return to! #DisasterRecovery #EmergencyManagement

For 156 years, Memorial Day has served as one special day to honor those in our armed forces who have died while in our nation’s military service. As President Reagan said, “We are forever indebted to those who’ve given their lives that we might be free.” This weekend, let us remember these brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for us and the freedoms we enjoy.

We were honored to attend University Health's annual Medical Miracles Gala in San Antonio, Texas, this past Saturday. This event highlights and celebrates the power of partnerships in addressing the social determinants of health, with 100% of the proceeds raised benefiting the University Health Foundation’s mission and patients. This year’s event honored Mayah Zamorah, an inspirational survivor of the tragedy at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. Her story speaks to the life-saving impact of partnerships within the University Health system and South Texas. Since 2008, we have shown support as one of the many sponsors for this event, and our San Antonio project team members had a great time attending this year!

The event benefits the WCCAC's mission in providing hope, healing, and justice for abuse-affected children and families. We embrace opportunities to have some fun in the name of supporting a worthy cause!
