Building Fun Together
About us
Brooklyn Robot Foundry strives to empower kids through fun and immersive STEAM programs. Our hands-on classes, full-day programs, parties, and summer sessions ignite creativity, imagination, and whimsy. Franchise opportunities are now available! Founded by current owner Jenny Young, a mom with a mechanical engineering background, the Foundry makes a space where learners of all backgrounds feel comfortable being themselves and expressing their personalities through their projects. We offer class options for kids two to fourteen years old, as well as adults! The core of our business is our amazing staff — a diverse mixture of engineers, tinkerers, artists, and teachers who all love working with kids. We are thrilled to have the trust and support of our local communities and the parents who send their children to our programs again and again, and we are constantly evolving to make our classes more exciting and more educational! We aim to inspire and motivate kids by teaching them about the fun of building. We love the idea of learning and coming together through making things. We believe in the DIT—do it together— mentality and the importance of building a community around this common goal!

When I think about who our company is, what our brand cares about, and the elements that created our strong culture, I think about our core values. I think about how our core values reflect all the qualities I aspire to embody as an individual and all the qualities I want our company to represent. Reflecting on the results of this election, I realize Kamala's loss represents a loss of these core values for our country. We value People First. We value empathy, compassion, justice, inclusion, transparency, common goals, bringing joy, and community. The president-elect does not share these values and that fact hit so many of us so hard. What do we do with this feeling of loss? I am not sure. But as time progresses and we process the loss, I hope we do not become numb. I hope we can turn that numbness into action and remember that with community, with transparency, with inclusion, with empathetic listening, there is a way to continue to push for change.

We recently rolled out our Robot Coders program across several of our franchises. We've been perfecting the Coders program for many years and are so excited to see so many students having a great time building fun together. We love to find new ways to spark excitement about STEAM. Our Robot Coders program is perfect for middle schoolers because it’s all about getting off the screens and having a hands-on experience. Students don’t just build robots—they design every detail, from how they look to the key components inside, and program their bots to interact with the real world. The best part is the robot creations are as unique as the students building them. And every week they start from scratch on a brand new project, giving the students a chance to express their creativity and flex their problem-solving skills in a whole new way. We love giving kids these opportunities. The smiles, the pride, and the copious laughter are amazing. We can't wait to see what they do next. #roboticsforkids #BuildingFunTogether #inspiringcreativity #empoweringgumption

We just wrapped up our first-ever annual franchise retreat in the Catskills (peak leaves), and it was legendary! We hiked, we ate, we learned, we crafted, we collaborated, and we laughed so hard we might still be sore. This group of franchise owners is pure magic, and we couldn’t be prouder of them and our amazing team. Always Building Fun... and maybe plotting world domination... Together! 🎉 #RetreatGoals
