On Jan. 5, 2024, AJ Freburg was completing one of her last courier runs at Complete Endocrinology. The company she had contracted with as courier for 30 years decided to close all Nebraska operations, and Jan. 5 was its last day of service. AJ didn’t have much of a plan past this day, and she felt unsure of her future. But what she was sure of was missing “her people” at the various Bryan Physician Network (BPN) offices she had come to know through her work. Read AJ's full story here: https://lnkd.in/gRzJaEZW

Congratulations to Claire Shumard, Patient Care Technician, for receiving the June Tulip Award! "Claire floated to our unit and sat with 1:1 patient who was extremely difficult to deal with. She was very patient with him and listened to his concerns. She explained things to him continuously and showed him a ton of empathy." Claire , thank you for the care you provide daily to your patients. You make a difference in the lives of others. We are grateful that you are part of the Bryan Medical Staff.

Congratulations to Jennette Gold, RN, on receiving a DAISY Award. 3 of Jennette's teammates nominated and shared this about her: "Jennette is ALWAYS going above and beyond to make her patients comfortable. She individualizes her plan of care for each patient and what will work best for them. Jennette will do whatever it takes to keep her patients anxiety and pain to a manageable level, even through untraditional routes like music, touch and temp control." "Jennette is always living out the core value “one team, one purpose”. She recently floated to the Independence Center after they had one of the two nurses working, leave for a medical emergency. Jennette had never been to the Independence Center before, but she jumped in eagerly and willingly. Clients shared with leadership that they appreciated her caring demeanor. Jennette is always willing to float and help out any team in need. She exemplifies a DAISY winner because of this. Thank you Jennette!" "Jennette always goes above and beyond for her patients and always has a great attitude and conversation with them. She is a great co-worker and inspires me to live up to the core values of Bryan. She is a huge patient advocate and is also our charge nurse. She goes out of her way to not only help patients but also connect family members by reassuring loved ones. She is also calm in every situation. Go Jennette!" Thank you for being helpful and welcoming, Jennette! We are proud of you. The DAISY Award recognizes outstanding nurses at Bryan.
