Forensic Engineering - Fire Origin & Cause
About us
BSC Forensics provides a unique, service-oriented approach to property-related investigative engineering services. We pride ourselves on being thorough and on being able to expedite reports when you truly need them quickly. Our engineers have extensive experience in structural design and forensic engineering in all parts of the country, including: high-wind regions, high-seismic zones, flood/storm surge areas, as well as various other weather-prone regions. BSC's experts have in-depth knowledge of how structures, foundations and exterior cladding systems perform in high winds, floods, hail storms, snow, and earthquakes. Moreover, we understand how each performs over long periods of weathering and/or deterioration. Differentiating between the aforementioned causes requires the experience of qualified experts from BSC.

My daughter at 3 years old made an adorable saying while playing, "Friends and toys, and friends and toys. The end." I wouldn't say that I'm afraid of height, but I REALLY respect it, especially while working at height. Up in a tall bucket lift inspecting this massive building over a long hot day, my daughter's voice (with a new twist) cheered me up: "Bolts and welds, and bolts and welds. The end."

🚨🚧Who Do You Need? | P&C Personnel🛑🔆 One of the most fulfilling roles I have had during my career is helping those looking for a new job. I have been able to successfully help hundreds find their next spot. Interestingly enough, I have a number of headhunters and recruiters that reach out when they're searching... I had one headhunter ask me why I didn't do it full-time... I love it and it does bring me joy but I haven't ever monetized it and I'm just fine with that... ⚽️⚽️ Taking a little walk down memory lane regarding coaching soccer and monetizing it. I have roughly 30 years of coaching. It was (still is) a love of mine and it was always as a volunteer... However, there was this one time... A co-worker heard I loved coaching and soccer. He asked if I'd come help out with his son's team circa 2001 - Alvin TX. He said the team had been together 2 years and hadn't ever won a game. I went out to help and ended up coaching the team through the season. We had 2 draws and 2 wins to end the season. The team was on Cloud 9. After the last game, the parents presented me with a check. I was stunned and tried to give it back. The wouldn't have it. Long story short, if you ever meet Ashley Molony, ask her about the 💍 on her finger. The only money I ever made coaching paid for that ring. I continued coaching but never earned another cent. It was for the love of the game. Now I see that coaching $$ every time we're (🩷 of my life) together and it brings a 😊 to my face. For now, that's how I feel about helping people find jobs... The joy from hearing I was helpful is (for now 😜) all the payment I need. Have a great week! If you're on a job hunt, all the best to you! The real reason for this post is to connect those searching, either for a job or for the right person. If you meet that definition, please feel free to comment or DM me. If I hear of what you're looking for I'll gladly let you know. I do have some longtime connections looking - Claims Management. I'm happy to help, time permitting, connect parties. Photo compliments of Jeanne Boyd Curtis - Thanks @Jeanne!

Come join BSC Forensics for a light hearted P&C Evening in The Windy City!
🥩 🍷 Chicago | Special Treat | Dinner |P&C Event🍽 💡 I've been a bit quiet on LinkedIn while in Ireland and London the past couple of weeks. Now that I'm back in the US, I'm turning my focus to our Chicago Event tomorrow and our Dallas event next week. For those able to make the event in Chicago, we have a special treat with Joseph Petrelli joining our presenter panel. Joe is the founder of Demotech, Inc. Joe is going to touch on (and more): ✒ Search Engine Optimization ✒ Claims Instigation/Litigation Funding The presentation is both compelling and fascinating. There will be a bit of overlap with Steven Badger (Zelle LLP) who will touch on current P&C Trends. Steve always does a great job of getting everyone in the room up to speed on all things current. Oliver Bradburne is stepping in for Daniel Grimwood-Bird so Dan can catch his breath a bit and enjoy a little extra time at home with his kiddos. Oliver and Jarrod C. Burns, MS, PE will speak on Spatial Analysis from 35,000' to 6." Dan and Jarrod did a great job digging into this for everyone in the inaugural McKenzie Intelligence Services Breakfast Brief last week. This session was very well received. I get to provide color commentary which will be very brief as the main focus of this event is P&C networking. I always get a lot of credit for all of these events but Lindsey Beam is really the one deserving the credit. She does all the behind the scenes planning. Special thanks to Michael J. Bente, CGC with Indemnity Consulting for sponsoring.
