Imagine hosting your next celebration, meeting, or other special event in a unique and beautiful setting, surrounded by the lush greenery of America’s first publicly funded park and a historic, functioning pump house. This Hartford landmark is fashioned of brick, brownstone, and timber, and was designed by H. Hilliard Smith to resemble a Cotswold Cottage with Tudor influences. Your rental includes the main room on the south side of the building, the adjacent exterior courtyard, and tables and chairs suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Yesterday, our first group of volunteers for 2024 completed a great spring cleaning project - the Corning Fountain. Thank you Talcott Financial Group! Now we get to watch the flowers and plants blossom in the warm weather.

The Bushnell Park Carousel Opening Weekend is March 2 & 3! The Carousel will be open on Saturdays and Sundays in March and April from 12-5pm. AND, join us for FREE activities on Mayor’s Day, March 3: Mayor Arunan Arulampalam invites families to the Bushnell Park Carousel to enjoy the day with free rides and activities. He looks forward to speaking with residents about how they use Hartford's parks and updating them about all the exciting events and projects. The schedule: 🎠 12-5 pm - FREE Carousel rides 📚 12-2 pm - Hartford Public Library on Wheels 🎭 2-4 pm - Theater workshop for kids with Hartford Stage 🎟 Raffle prizes for kids! Mayor’s Day is hosted by Bushnell Park Conservancy, The Betty Knox Foundation, Hartford Stage, and Hartford Public Library.

Thanks to 82 generous donors, including the Greater Hartford Arts Council and the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, we reached our fundraising goal for Tree As Art! New sign in place thanking our donors. As the trunk dries out this spring, we can schedule the work on this beautiful project. Looking forward to seeing Tao LaBossiere and his team work their artistic magic. This project is funded in part thanks to a matching grant from Sustainable CT.
