Happy National Beach Day! A summer must, be sure to visit the Pismo Beach Plaza of the Central Coast. In 2010, the City of Pismo Beach implemented a multi-phased project to revitalize their waterfront by updating the historic Pismo Pier, expanding the surrounding promenade, and adding the Pismo Beach Plaza. Cannon provided each aspect of construction management, including construction engineering, construction inspection, materials testing, office engineering services, and funding administration for the project. The Pismo Pier received a major facelift that included an elevated boardwalk expansion north of the existing pier to allow pedestrian access from 1st Street. In addition, an existing stairwell was repaired. The project also added restrooms; a playground; and stairs, an ADA ramp, and slides that access the beach. Cannon is so proud to have been part of such a huge project so close to home! #BeachDay #PismoBeach #Summer #PismoPier

It is officially back-to-school season and it's time to hit the books at the library! The Woodcrest Library is the first LEED-certified building in the County of Riverside. Cannon provided civil engineering design and survey services for the 10,000-square-foot County library. The scope of work included field survey and needs assessment, horizontal control plans, precise grading and paving plans, hydrology study (on-site), storm drain plans (on-site), street improvements (off-site), utility design, and erosion control plans, as well as working in conjunction with the City for plan approval. #LEED #Municpal #Library #Booklovers #StudySessions #RiversideCounty
