Cannon has been busy providing construction management services for the Malibou Lake Siphon Replacement project in unincorporated Los Angeles County. We are working closely with the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD) on this project, which involves the construction of a new double-barrel siphon spanning Medea Creek at the inlet to Malibou Lake. The siphon includes HDPE pipes connected by inlet and outlet manholes. The project involves using sheet piles as a cofferdam, a creek bypass pipe for water flow, and managing dewatering and environmental concerns, including nearby nesting bird species. Each 10’ manhole weighs about 55,000 lbs, highlighting the project's scale and precision. This project is a unique combination of blending technical expertise with environmental responsibility. #ConstructionManagement #Infrastructure #Engineering

On June 29th, our team, the Loose Cannons, participated in the Tri-Tip Challenge in loving memory of Derek Thoele, a beloved member who tragically passed away in a mountaineering accident in 2023. We got together to commemorate his memory by honoring what he loved to do. We set out early in the morning and successfully hiked three significant peaks in one day. Our journey began with Bishop's Peak, followed by Madonna Mountain, and concluded with the Cal Poly "P." Each peak presented its own unique challenges and stunning views, but the spirit and determination of our team carried us through. After completing the hikes, we gathered back at our San Luis Obispo office for a well-deserved tri-tip lunch. It was a time to rest, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements. More importantly, it was a time to remember Derek and the impact he had on our lives. #TriTipChallenge

Our annual Well Worth It Drive-Thru BBQ is just around the corner! Did you know that more people perish each year from unsafe water and poor sanitation than from all forms of violence combined, including war? Children, especially, suffer greatly from these conditions. That's why Cannon initiated the Well Worth It campaign, partnering with charity: water to eradicate water-related illnesses and unhygienic living environments by installing wells in communities lacking clean water. Purchase your Well Worth It BBQ ticket today to support this vital cause and help build clean water projects worldwide! https://lnkd.in/g7haUNi4 #WellWorthIt #Drive-ThruBBQ
